Sarah Bishop, DVM
Dr. Bishop is from Rochester, NH and has lived in New Englard her entire life. Her family is from Aroostook county in Northern ME and she has spent many summers camping and enjoying the Maine Seacoast (one of her favorite vacation spots is Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park). The only time Dr. Bishop has been away from New England is while earning her degrees. In 2017, she graduated with a bachelors of science in Biology from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. From there, she went straight into veterinary school and graduated from Purdue University in Lafayette, IN in 2021. After graduation, Dr. Bishop was very excited to move home! Before joining our practice in May 2023, she worked at another small animal hospital in New Hampshire. Dr. Bishop currently lives in Rochester, NH with her husband and loves that her immediate and married family live near by! She has two pets - Lizzi Joy (a 2 year old mini aussie) and Francisco (a cat who stole her heart not even 72 hours into vet school!). She actually has to baby proof her home because Francisco opens cupboards, doors, the trash can, and even hops in the fridge! When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Bishop loves spending time crafting (sewing and cricut’ing are her favorites), creative writing (she has written 4 unpublished books!), cooking, spending time with family (bonus if its outdoors or at a backyard BBQ!). In veterinary medicine, she is most interested in small animal clinical nutrition (especially managing obesity), end of life care & palliative disease management, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is protecting the human animal bond and watching patients grow up under her care! |
